  • He established a school named Satyavadi school, was first school.
  • Played a vital role in initiating publishing books, constructing roads and establishing industry(iron industry).
  • He established and leaded the first Nepali newspaper “Gorkhapatra”
  • Some of the areas  he contributed (direct or indirect) in abolition of slavery and sati system. 
  • Dispensary was established with doctors from Calcutta medical college on deputation.
  • In 1910, he started land reform programs, and land registration for the general public.
  • Established First Humanistic Club in 1928.
  • His publications were ‘Humanism Volume I-III’, The Humanist Journal, and 'The Flag of Peace'.
He was the real warrior of Humanistic movement in Nepal.

Shaileshwari Temple, Doti The former Doti Kingdom included not only Doti district; it was expanded up to Achham, Bajhang, Bajura, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Darchula, extending as far as Dehradun and Kumaun Garwal (These days Kumaun Garwal is part of India). History of Doti kingdom is little known. Doti was the capital of that kingdom. Deuki tradition, basically, is practiced not in proper Doti but nearby districts including Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Darchula. During the reign of King Nagi Malla in the 17th century, far western Nepal was in ruin. Natural calamities, drought and cholera consumed his Kingdom. The priests predicted that relief would come if the king offered his daughter to the temple of Bhageshwor Mahadev. Gaura festival

   Gaura is the festival which falls in month of Bhadra, according to Nepali calender (August/September). Especially Most of the middle- west and far west parts of Nepal celebrate this festival.  It starts from the day of Krishna Janmastami (birth of Lord Krishna), and lasts for three days observing by worshiping Shiva and Parvati along with Ganesh.  The deuda dance is major part of this festival in which participants hold hands and form a circle as they stepped to traditional music.  Apart from the many ceremonies that happen during this festival, it is the occasion for married women to put on the sacred thread.
